The Bounty Board
I paint the BattleTech schemes that catch my interest, from famous regiments to overlooked commands. With countless factions, units, and color schemes throughout BattleTech's history, there's always something new I'd like to explore, but only so much time to paint them all.
The Bounty Board is my way of sharing my interests and inviting fellow enthusiasts who share them, to bring them to life if we coincide on a scheme. If one catches your eye, we can work together on a lore-accurate force built around your preferred era, 'Mechs, and markings.
I generally prefer taking on commands I haven't painted before rather than revisiting previous ones. Repeat commissions are open to discussion, though I'm more selective about accepting them.
If nobody claims a bounty, I may eventually paint it for myself and offer it on eBay.
Traditional commission requests are welcome too.
How the Bounty Board works
Find your command
Browse the Bounty Board or propose a traditional commission. Inner Sphere lances, Clan stars, and ComStar Level IIs are the usual minimums.
Agree on the details
We'll discuss era, variants, markings, miniatures, project price, and timeline. I prioritize BattleTech canon and lore-appropriate compositions.
Painting & delivery
Once the details and deposit are agreed upon, I paint your force, share progress as appropriate, and arrange tracked return shipping.
Open bounties
Explore by affiliation, then faction and formation. Composition notes are suggestions, not fixed rosters.

Individually quoted commissions
Every commission is quoted individually based on the miniature type, painting complexity, preparation requirements, and overall scope. I'll confirm the total price before work begins. Miniatures and shipping are additional.
Tabletop Plus Painting
My standard commissions are painted to a Tabletop Plus finish, emphasizing lore-accurate color schemes, detailed markings, defined armor panels, realistic weathering, and cohesive force-wide presentation. Each miniature receives individual attention while maintaining a consistent appearance across the formation.
On occasion, I may take select miniatures a step further, approaching a High-End Tabletop finish, with the intention of featuring them on CamoSpecs Online. This additional work is at my discretion, and commissions are not guaranteed to be featured on CamoSpecs.
What's Included
Standard painting includes basic preparation and assembly, priming, painting, simple basing, agreed lore-appropriate markings and available decals, protective matte varnish, and careful packing.
Miniatures, preparation & sourcing
I paint official licensed miniatures only—no 3D print knockoffs or third-party sculpts. I prefer that you provide the miniatures, but I can source official kits if you prepay their cost.
Basic preparation is included in the quote. Older metal sculpts, complicated multi-part kits, pinning, conversions, or unusually demanding cleanup may affect the quote. Some casting imperfections cannot be removed without damaging sculpted detail; I'll discuss any concerns with you before proceeding.
Formation sizes & lore accuracy
My usual minimum is a four-unit Inner Sphere lance, five-unit Clan star, or six-unit ComStar Level II. Larger formations can be discussed. Era, variants, colors, insignia, and markings should fit established BattleTech lore. Tasteful homebrew mercenaries may be considered.
Timeline & availability
Commissions are scheduled around my existing commitments. Please allow for a timeline of up to three months or longer depending on the project; I'll give you a realistic estimate before accepting the commission. Completion dates are estimates, not guarantees.
Deposit & payment
A 25% deposit on painting labor is required for first-time clients after we agree on the project; I may waive it for returning clients. Any miniatures I purchase on your behalf must be prepaid in full. The remaining balance is due before return shipping.
Shipping & insurance
U.S. orders only. Clients pay shipping in both directions. I package completed miniatures carefully and provide tracking, using USPS, UPS, or FedEx as appropriate. Shipping insurance is recommended and should be requested when arranging shipment. Carrier loss or damage is subject to the carrier's terms and any applicable legal protections.
Cancellations & unclaimed miniatures
If painting has begun, the deposit is nonrefundable. If work has not begun, I refund the deposit minus any nonrecoverable payment fees. Miniatures purchased for you remain yours and can be returned at your shipping expense. If an order remains unclaimed or communication stops, I will contact you about collection or shipping arrangements before taking any further action.
Photography & sharing
I may photograph completed commissions and share my photographs on Jaded Falconer, social media, and CamoSpecs. You're welcome to photograph and share your miniatures once received.
Retired bounties
Previously painted or no longer actively sought. You're still welcome to ask about them.
