About Jaded Falconer
A lifelong BattleTech fan, a miniature painter since 2016, and a collection of 'Mechs that keeps getting bigger.
How it all started
Welcome to JadedFalconer.com, a showcase of my painted miniatures from the BattleTech universe. Every miniature displayed here represents my ongoing passion for BattleTech, miniature painting, and the universe that has captivated me since childhood.
I can't quite remember which came first: MechWarrior 3050 on the Sega Genesis or the BattleTech animated series. Whichever it was, both captured my imagination and started a fascination that never really went away. I coveted the Tyco BattleTech toys (or, more accurately, begged my parents for them), spent countless hours playing MechWarrior and MechCommander, and devoured whatever BattleTech information I could find on Sarna.net. Somewhere along the way, I even played The Crescent Hawk's Inception. I also collected pictures from CamoSpecs.com, saving them to my computer to admire whenever the mood struck. And every year, I'd revisit the animated series I'd recorded on VHS as a kid.
During college, while searching Amazon for a DVD of the animated series, I stumbled across a book with a Timber Wolf on the cover: The Legend of the Jade Phoenix. That discovery sent me down the rabbit hole of BattleTech fiction. Today, I own and have read nearly the entire novel collection.
Despite all those years as a fan, I didn't actually get into tabletop BattleTech or miniature painting until late 2016. A friend's colleague, an avid Warhammer 40,000 player, introduced me to tabletop wargaming, and I finally took the plunge. I started collecting, painting, and playing BattleTech, and I haven't looked back.
JadedFalconer.com is where I document that journey and share my work with fellow enthusiasts and collectors. The galleries are organized by BattleMech weight class—Light, Medium, Heavy, and Assault—while the Others section features vehicles, dioramas, and other BattleTech-related projects. The Forces section brings everything together with complete formations and themed collections.
I also accept custom painting commissions. Whether you're interested in claiming a formation from my Bounty Board or commissioning something entirely your own, visit the Order page for details about my painting standards, pricing, and commission process.
Thank you for visiting JadedFalconer.com. I hope you enjoy exploring the collection as much as I enjoy building and painting it.
