The Hoplite is a rugged Inner Sphere BattleMech first conceived by Martinson Armaments in 2578 as an infantry support machine for the Star League Defense Force.

Though the design vanished from the Inner Sphere during the Amaris Crisis and early Succession Wars, surviving examples endured with Kerensky’s exiles and later appeared with Wolf’s Dragoons.

Simple, durable, and unusual by the thirty-first century, the Hoplite became a rare machine whose surviving variants reflect both Star League legacy engineering and later Dragoon refit work.
